these programs generate revenue; others are independent community organizations
hosted by MIFA. Each of them has a profoundly positive impact on individuals
and the community.
MIFA PROGRAMS:
The MIFA
Store sells new and gently used, donated clothing and household goods at
modest prices. It is open to the public, and all net profits support MIFA

Easy Meals provides hot lunches for a fee and generates net
profit revenue for the MIFA Meals program. Entrees are delivered to individuals
and other institutions. 529-4567
INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS HOUSED AT
MIFA:
The Community Legal Center (CLC) offers legal services to
people with low incomes. The CLC offers referrals, advice and representation in
divorces, property disputes, immigration and other issues. Clients receive an
average of $1,682 in pro bono legal services per case. 543-3395
Manpower,
Inc. offers
employment opportunities through its satellite office in MIFA’s Emergency
Services program area. MIFA clients and other job seekers are referred to
Manpower to find temporary or long-term employment. 529-4561
United
People of Somalia helps refugees from Somalia and other African
countries with employment, immigration and other needs. The organization is
located at MIFA’s Estival Community. 527-2889
