Helping prepare students for the future is important to us. Through COOL, the Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association (MIFA) is encouraging teens to pursue and helping them access higher education, facilitating better jobs and brighter futures!

College Offers Opportunities for Life! MIFA's COOL program offers continuing support to teens in MIFA’s Teen Job Services and Housing Opportunities programs and extends the same services to students in the 38126 zip code.

COOL: What it offers 
• Guidance with planning coursework
• Support for the college entrance exams (including ACT & SAT fee-waiver vouchers and workshops)
• Assistance with selecting colleges and the admissions process
• Career counseling
• Financial aid application assistance
• Scholarship search support

COOL also provides:
• College tours (in the spring and fall)
• Parent information sessions
• Essay-writing workshops, conducted by certified high school and college-level instructors
• Monthly college prep sessions
• Seminars on applying for the Federal Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), conducted by higher     education financial aid directors
