Corporate partnerships

Corporate partnerships benefiting MIFA offer unique opportunities for businesses and organizations to help change lives and provide hope to our community. When you partner with MIFA, you can trust that your dollars make a difference—86% of every dollar goes directly to MIFA’s programs.

Corporations can support MIFA through various sponsorships and volunteer projects. Partnering with MIFA also aligns your business with one of the most effective and respected non-profit agencies in Memphis and allows a chance for you to connect with our large, diverse audience of supporters, volunteers and consumers. Your clients and employees alike will appreciate your support of MIFA.

Thank you for your interest in supporting MIFA. Your generosity allows us to help real people make real changes.  To make a secure gift online, donate now.

Matching gifts

If your company has a matching gift program, you may double – or possibly triple -- your gift to MIFA. Designating a matching gift to benefit MIFA is a great way to expand the impact of your gift.

Information on whether or not your company matches charitable donations is usually available through your personnel, benefits or community relations department. Your matching gift coordinator can provide you with the necessary paperwork.

Thank you for increasing your gift to MIFA through your company’s matching gift program. We know that it takes extra effort on your part to help coordinate a matching gift.  We want you to know we appreciate your support, and that the matching gift helps MIFA make an even bigger difference in our community.

Sponsorship opportunities

MIFA’s sponsorship opportunities will provide excellent visibility for your company. We are also happy to discuss any ideas you may have for new sponsorships. Donate now, or for more information on the opportunities below, please contact Anna Kathryn Word at (901) 529-4560 or aword@mifa.org.

MIFA’s March for Meals

MIFA’s March for Meals campaign is a public awareness and fundraising effort that raises support for the MIFA Meals program. A MIFA tradition, March for Meals raises over $30,000 annually for our Senior Meals program, which serves over 2,400 hot, nutritious meals every day to homebound senior citizens!

Day of Reflection and Service

Because of MIFA’s strong ties to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., each year a special celebration is held to honor his life of service. Each year near the date of his assassination, approximately 200 people, including MIFA staff, volunteers and donors, will gather at MIFA to celebrate the life of Dr. King. This event features a guest speaker, and at the close of the program, volunteers carry on Dr. King’s legacy of servant leadership by delivering meals to our homebound seniors, cleaning abandoned lots, planting flowers and making small repairs to our seniors’ homes. This event is typically well covered by local media and well attended by many who wish to celebrate Dr. King’s legacy.

No-Go Gala

The No-Go Gala is MIFA’s most successful non-event. Since 1996, over $725,000 has been raised by MIFA through No-Go donations!

The No-Go Gala is a special event that works on the premise that donors are tired of attending fancy galas and would rather stay home. This event is aimed towards individuals and corporations, and it offers many opportunities for corporate exposure and involvement. Approximately 5,000 “guests” receive a clever, four-color invitation with a leave-behind item that ties in with the theme included in the invitations. The guests who choose “not to come” then send a donation to MIFA. Thousands of people anticipate the arrival of their No Go invitation each year, and this is a great way to gain recognition for your company name and logo with a fun and easy partnership.

Feed the Soul

Feed the Soul celebrates the unique role MIFA has in the Memphis community and the positive change MIFA has made possible throughout its 41 year history. The event will celebrate giving and what can happen when Memphians come together with a common cause.

The Feed the Soul celebration is casual and fun with estimated attendance of 500-600. Ticket price is $40.00 per person with a limited number of tables of ten. The event celebrates the unique elements of Memphis: music, entertainment, food, and diversity. The goal is a lively, happy, and accessible celebration with a variety of entertainment

Our inaugural Feed the Soul event, which took place on October 2, 2008, raised over $70,000 for MIFA and was a smashing success! Over 700 tickets were sold, and the overwhelming reaction of the public was “I can’t wait to do this again next year!”.

Christmas Day Meals

Each year, over 600 volunteers and employees of MIFA Senior Meals make sure that the seniors receive a special Christmas meal. Your partnership will allow us to serve over 2,000 meals on Christmas Day. Our clients truly look forward to this special meal and visit each year. In past years, the media has made it a point to come to MIFA and cover this event.
