SunTrust and MIFA Offer Estate Planning Seminar
SunTrust Bank and MIFA (Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association) have partnered to offer a free estate planning seminar scheduled for February 4 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. at The University Club, 1346 Central Avenue.
Guest speaker will be Kathryn W. Miree, president and primary consultant for Kathryn W. Miree & Associates, Inc. in Birmingham, Alabama, which provides a full range of planned giving, endowment, and foundation management services.
Miree received a B.A. from Emory University and a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law. She spent 15 years as a senior trust officer in a large southeastern bank and three years as President & CEO of a brokerage affiliated trust company before establishing her firm in 1997. Miree is past president of the National Committee on Planned Giving (now Partnership for Philanthropic Planning), past president of the Alabama Planned Giving Council, and has served on a number of community nonprofit boards. She chairs the Editorial Advisory Board of the Journal of Gift Planning, and serves on the editorial advisory boards of Planned Giving Today and Planned Giving Design Center.
