Estate planning seminar scheduled for February 3

SunTrust Private Wealth Management, the Memphis Bar Association and MIFA are partnering to offer an estate planning seminar slated for February 3 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at The Racquet Club, 5111 Sanderlin Avenue.

The free public seminar, entitled Fiduciary Liability and Trust Ownership of Family Business, will be presented by Stephen G. Salley and Jay C. Cloud of GenSpring Family Offices.

Salley, selected as one of the Best Lawyers in America by US News & World Report, is one of two senior partners heading GenSpring’s Family Business Center. A certified tax attorney for over 30 years, he received a BA with honors from Harvard University, his JD with high honors from University of Florida Levin College of Law and his LL.M, Taxation, from University of Florida Levin College of Law.

As a Family Wealth Advisor at GenSpring, Cloud assists client families with a wide variety of wealth management needs, including estate and gift planning, tax planning, multi-generational planning, financial planning, fiduciary, philanthropy and family governance issues. He received his Masters in Tax Law from the University of Florida College of Law and his law degree, with honors, from the University of Arkansas.
