Holiday Gift Bags for Seniors

Volunteers deliver gift bags to seniors with their meals on their birthdays and on Christmas Day. If you are interested in donating gifts, please assemble the following items in an 11" x 14" decorative gift bag: blanket, stationery, postage stamps, calendar, winter cap, sweater, t-shirt, socks (regular or non-skid), mittens or gloves, puzzles/crossword puzzles/dominos, lotion, flashlight, lap robe, hygiene products. No candy, please.

To donate, contact Ellen Whitten at (901) 529-4507 or

Baby Care Packages

No matter how difficult a client’s situation is, the most basic items can provide relief. Families come to MIFA without essential items, proper clothing for their children, or money for food—our care packages help them get through the day.

Care packages can be assembled in totes, diaper bags, or paper bags for portability, or individual items can be donated. Please consider the following items: Disposable diapers, bib or burp cloth, socks, hat, small blanket, ready-to-use formula in screw-cap container, infant juice or juice boxes, finger foods, jarred foods, baby bottle or sippy cup, baby lotion, baby wipes, baby powder, Vaseline, small toy or book.

To donate, contact Ellen Whitten at (901) 529-4507 or

Holiday Cards

MIFA Holiday Cards are unique gifts that honor your loved ones while supporting MIFA! Send us a list of your friends, family members, or associates, and we will mail each of them a card with a hand-written, personalized message. The requested donation per card is $10.

MIFA Meals on Wheels

Looking for a volunteer project between Christmas and New Year’s? Deliver MIFA Meals on Wheels! We need volunteers between Christmas Day and New Year's Day to deliver meals to our homebound senior clients. Many of our regular volunteers are unavailable during the holidays, and we could use the extra help. A great family opportunity!
