Nominate someone you know who's Something Good in Memphis!

Add your one to Plus-1

MIFA friends,

You may have noticed that our Plus-1 program is appearing all over the place these days, including your MLGW bill. We're working hard this month to promote Plus-1, which is a partnership with MLGW that provides utility assistance for our neighbors who need it most. MLGW customers can help by adding $1 or more to their monthly utility bills, and anyone can support Plus-1 with a one-time gift. You can also join us at the Memphis Grizzlies vs. Dallas Mavericks game on February 29--tickets are discounted AND a portion of the sales will come to MIFA!

It's easy for us to get wrapped up in the excitement of the campaign and the upcoming Grizzlies game, but it's also good to remember why we're doing this: Plus-1 is more important than ever during our most extreme seasons, and your support makes this vital utility assitance program possible.

Last year, 9,000 MLGW customers—or roughly 2% of the total population MLGW serves—contributed enough to help about 1,700 families. If every MLGW customer gave just $1 per month, we could serve more than 20,000 families per year. With your help, we can help more people. Please consider giving to Plus-1 today.

Sincerely,

Sally Jones Heinz
MIFA Executive Director

When you get your MLGW bill this month, please consider using the enclosed envelope to make a gift to Plus-1. The program provides vital utility assistance to people who really need it. Find out more.
