MIFA presents five free programs on world religions

MIFA will present One Light, Many Colors, a series of free weekly programs on world religions each Thursday at 10 a.m. from July 21 to August 18 at Town Village Audubon Park retirement community, 950 Cherry Road.

The series title is inspired by the image of a stained glass panel, which projects a myriad of colors from a common source of light. The program, open to the public, was organized by Linda Marks, MIFA’s Inter-Faith Coordinator, and Shawna Welch, Director of Livewell at Town Village. It is designed to promote dialogue and understanding among people of all faiths.

The program dates and speakers will be:
July 21 – Dr. Ron Buck, Senior Pastor, Lindenwood Christian Church (see the video here)
July 28 – Rabbi Adam Grossman, Temple Israel (see the video here)
August 4 – Dr. Nabil Bayakly, Director, Al Noor Muslim Community Center (see the video here)
August 11 – Burton Carley, Minister, First Unitarian Church of Memphis (see the video here)
August 18 – Sandeep Pednekar, India Association of Memphis (see the video here)
