Help tackle hunger!

Join the Souper Bowl team with a donation to MIFA Meals on Wheels

MIFA's Souper Bowl of Caring raises money for MIFA Meals on Wheels, which delivers hot, nutritious lunches to more than 2,000 seniors each weekday.

On the day of the big game (February 5, 2012), youth groups across the community will take up special collections to help in the battle against hunger and collect money at their parties. You can too!

Traditionally, youth participate by using large soup pots to make a special collection at their churches. Other groups take up a collection at their game-day parties--$7 provides one meal for one senior!

We would love for you to be a part of our team this year. Contact Linda Marks at (901) 527-0208 x218 lmarks@mifa.org for more information.

Saints join hands with MIFA

From Briarcrest Football's website, February 10, 2010

"During Super Bowl Week, our football players participated successfully in a program to help raise funds for MIFA, which is an organization that provides meals to needy senior citizens in our area. I am proud of the effort that our team put forth as a part of MIFA's Souper Bowl of Caring, and I am encouraged by the long-term effect that participating in a program like this might have on our players. There are so many opportunities for us to give back to those in need by using the resources with which we've been blessed, and there is tremendous value in the lessons that we stand to learn by giving freely of ourselves. Thanks to all of those who played a part in this endeavor."
