Volunteer Ombudsman Representative training

1 to 5 p.m. each day

MIFA, 910 Vance Avenue

 

Advocate for the rights of nursing home residents in Shelby, Fayette, Tipton, and Lauderdale Counties through MIFA's Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program. After a 12-hour training and certification, you will visit an assigned nursing home once a week and help to promote good care and resident rights. Training will take place Tuesday-Thursday, January 31 - February 2, from 1 to 5 p.m. each day, at MIFA headquarters (910 Vance Avenue). All three training sessions are required for certification.
